The Heart Of Texas
chorus joins with the Alamo Metro
chorus to provide an unequaled evening of singing
entertainment. And you can plan on hearing the sweet
harmony of several championship quartets. This evening's
spectacular includes a cocktail hour at 6pm, dinner at 7pm
and the show at 7:45pm - all for the single price of
$15! Net proceeds from ticket sales will be used to
offset the significant expense of
moving 60+ men from Texas to Nashville, TN in July and 60+
ladies from Texas to Honolulu, HI in November. If your heart leads you to the desire to
help even more, price your tickets anywhere you want above
$15. Word has it that there will be other activities
throughout the evening such as silent auctions,

The Heart Of Texas
Chorus will represent the Barbershop Harmony Society, Southwestern District,
at the International Barbershop Convention taking place in July 2008 in Nashville, Tennessee!
We are so very proud to
have placed first in the district competition in Corpus
Christi (City By The Bay) in the fall of 2007, which earned
us the opportunity to represent the Southwestern District in
international competition. Inside
information: more than half of HOT has joined in
a weight loss and health improvement competition aimed at
improving our physical condition for the Nashville
Convention. Total competition entry fees will be
divided among the top three "losers" (weight that
is) based on a yet-to-be-determined formula based on both
gross and percentage weight loss. It's been heard that
the seniors in the chorus are pressing for a handicap system
based on age!

The Heart Of Texas (HOT)Chorus
is one of the premier choruses of the Barbershop
Harmony Society and there must be a very good reason
why our members travel from the
north of Austin and south of San Antonio and most
communities in between to attend weekly rehearsals. And
there is - and it's called the pursuit of perfect harmony.
While
our core singing has its roots in the barbershop style,
our repertoire includes a wide variety of musical genre
including inspirational, gospel, modern and of course -
